A little while back I found this;

and I knew I'd heard it before. Today I remembered; it was on a record my folks had of Theodore Bikel singing old Yiddish songs. This one's about a guy with a push-cart selling bagels and I remember Bikel's version being schmaltzy as all hell, rather than the flying-missions-over-Germany version.

Okay, it's been decades since Star Wars comes out, but the whole fiddling with the targeting computer makes no sense. Seriously, how is it ever good design to have your fighter pilots focused on a little scope to one side instead of having a heads up display? I think it's a take on the bomb sights in WWII, because there were heads up displays in fighters by the time Star Wars came out, and there are all these other WWII aviation riffs in there.
