a really odd discovery

Typically this is the sort of soggy overwrought piano I associate with shopping at 99 Ranch Market, sometimes it's reggae, and at some point someone, possibly the whims of Pandora itself, decided the patrons would like country music. For the most part country makes me cringe on its own merits, and that's before we get into my associations.
It turns out that this is largely about orchestration. Just some guy singing along with a banjo actually doesn't set me off even if the lyrics are crap and I don't necessarily think it's good. I mean, that you could hear at any fair or event, right?
Similarly, I think the thing that really pushes stuff over from total garbage into active hatred is playing fiddles too damn slow.
