More things I never figured out;

Last night I watched Monty Python and the Holy Grail for the first time in over a decade (a Tumblr of illuminations got me thinking about the gorgeous art in the trumpet animation, and someone posted the whole movie to YouTube) - and it's not the earthshatteringly hilarious thing I thought it was as a kid, but it's a very good movie.

Previously, I'd assumed the dialogue in "The Tale of Sir Galahad" was simply really cheesy come-ons and sexual innuendos, but now I think that it's actually supposed to spoof the really flimsy excuses for plot in porn films (knight just happens to show up at a castle full of 8 score blondes and brunettes, all theoretically 16-19 although obviously older actresses, who spend all their time dressing, undressing, and making exciting underwear). This makes sense given the spoof of Sweden as a maker of porn and Bergman films in the intro.

It took me this long.
