Pathfinder games have influenced me, since my suggestion about the house here that "always has those Amanita muscaria on the lawn this time of year" is that fungal filiments have completely saturated the yard, the framework of the house and the humans living therein, changing their bodies and their thought patterns to alien and strange ends.
