And now ethnic/political crankiness

Time has this cover story about "Why Latinos Will Pick the Next President." Gee, I'm so shocked and surprised. I feel like I'm living in the 1900s; did you know that Jews, Italians and Irish people are voting now? Shocking, what.
The USA is a Hispanic country and the sooner we start accepting that fact the sooner we start working better as a community. The only question here is whether the majority of Latinos are committed enough Catholics to vote for candidates who stand for solid Catholic values (screwing over women, Queers and non-Christians) or whether they will vote for candidates who might be good for the impoverished, the ill, the elderly, and the brown-skinned.
