For a batch of reasons, I've never kept photos of my friends or relatives in my wallet or at my desk in my various jobs. Today I finally tried out using a photo as my desktop background. This is from last November, when I hitched a roadtrip up to Portland with friends and met up with a third friend to explore the Columbia Gorge a little. It turns out to be making me feel a little happier today at least. My friends are wearing coats, all of which are a pretty good fit for their personalities;

- ridiculously well-made, but home-made, bright and colorful
- a bright yellow North Face jacket, tough and outdoorsy
- a dark storebought coat of some sort - but one of the nicer ones, good quality, nice stitching, and individualized
