Yeah but now that I have more reality check from you and Tibicina, it just jams home my initial impression that salaries like that aren't all over the place. The dialogue about ending Bush era tax cuts/extending Obama era tax cuts just keeps being phrased like the people who are so seriously harmed are solidly middle class, people who'd own houses in Mountain View or Sunnyvale instead of people who own houses in Belmont or Palo Alto.
