So canonically, Matt Murdoch is blind, and his costume has these two horns on the forehead. I suddenly thought that hey, maybe the horns aren't just ornamental - his supersenses are probably longer range than any of the tactile stuff (I assume he knows how to part his hair like any other visually impaired person knows where the part goes), and he knows exactly where he should be feeling the horns, so they're basically a guide to where to put his mask.
