It amazes me that people haven't cashed on on Theodore Roosevelt hunting undead etc because that's exactly the sort of thing he WOULD do.

I mean "Bully for Brontosaurus" is not actually about TR going therapod-hunting on a lost plateau in Africa. 'sup with that?

Story suggestion; Martin Van Whipple Philips calls in a favor from his old ranching friend, Theodore Roosevelt...

... It's 1890 or so and the Republican Party really wants to keep TR out of New York politics; TR obliges by going undead hunting...

... but is saddled with Philips' studious, indoorsy grandson, Howard. Philips believes undead hunting with TR will toughen the boy up.

...It doesn't. TR's shunted back into politics as McKinley's VP, and Howard's too scarred by what he sees to ever write about it - directly.

...I don't think I could get away with including how TR's bigot-on-alternate-days attitude gives Howard his schizophrenic racism/liberalism.

The general response of gamers to 4e is a little like if Kentucky Fried Chicken decided that they were making hamburgers, and basically mandated that you needed to have fries with that, such that comparatively few people noticed that these were actually okay burgers.
