Mar. 24th, 2013 11:45 amI really want to run a roleplaying game. I have story ideas which I think would be really fun to build into big, developed stories and interactive theater, and having that as a way to interact with friends and not be so alone on Friday nights would be really good. Part of the joy of roleplaying games is that they're never anyone's expected narrative; as though Chekov's gun shows up in Act I, but then it never becomes significant, or it becomes important in Act III because someone plants it to frame guilt for the mystery or pawns it for money.
The only problem is that being a fair improvisational storyteller and troupe director is a lot of work. I can't do it for all that long.
