Pretty Petalwing all smashed! Nasty bad bigdigs!

Long before the "small very angry head on big muscly body with guns" years in comics, before the "everyone is a ninja" years, and seemingly lifetimes before anyone with some talent and internet access could make a really popular if sometimes cheesy comic about pretty elves, "Elfquest" was fresh, new, innovative, and people loved it. Invariably folks wanted a movie version. And now, three decades or so later, there's going to be one.

Unfortunately, I don't think it translates well to live action. On paper, they were neat interesting characters, filmed with actual people, you've got pretty models wearing bad Ren Faire outfits.
