Sep. 12th, 2010 11:47 amIn Dark Sun, there's a weapon called a "chatkcha," which is sort of a three-pronged obsidian shuriken.
However, since I don't think anybody goes around talking about chatkchas and gythkas and thri-kreen in daily conversation - please let me know if you meet anyone who does - I'd always mentally pronounced the word as "chotchkuh."
I'd imagine a "tchochke" from Dark Sun would be, for instance, a bobble-head half-giant. At the base there'd be mystic runes which read SOUVENIR OF GLADIATOR WORLD! CITY-STATE OF TYR. Maybe on the back there'd be smaller runes which read made in Urik.
So yeah. "I hit him with my +3 Tchochke."
